Gianna Bucelli was born in Florence, Italy.
She received a diploma in painting at the Art Institute of Porta Romana, Florence, in 1978.

At first she works as a creative, graphic designer, in advertising.

Afterwards she began in the field of wall decorating and trompe-l'oeil, realizing works in private villas in Italy and Switzerland.

At the same time experimented in several artistic techniques, from wall mosaic to story-book illustration, from painting (portraits) on canvas or wood to watercolours landscapes.

A few years ago she started to research her own personal direction in painting, participating to the artistic life through personal and collective exhibitions in Italy and foreing countries.

She teaches painting, watercolour and creative decoration in the public schooling system in Florence.

She lives and works between Siena, Florence and Rome.
